Holiday Dinner

Every year I host a some friends for a Christmas dinner and this year was filled with memories and magic. It’s so special to see our group grow as little babies are born each year! I hope they grow up with this memory — it’s so fun.

THE DETAILS

I wore my favorite Silk Dôen dress with black tights — it has the most beautiful sleeve and collar details that felt so festive. Here is a link to Ben’s outfit for some mens fashion too! A lot of my decor is found at antique stores and thrift stores. Vintage silver feels so festive and you can find it at most antique and thrift stores for a great price! I found my silver ice bucket, silver coasters, and coupe glasses antiquing over the years. Our tablecloths are from Julia Amory as well as Parterre. I don’t have any Christmas china but I do like to change up my table every year. This year since the parterre tablecloth was so beautiful, I went for a more minimal winter white for the rest. Feel free to ask about any other sources! For dinner, I typically make the meat in the crockpot to make it easier for myself and this year was no exception. I used this recipe for a roast and it was delicious! I paired it with mashed potatoes, salad, rolls, green beans, and cranberry! So yum. For the drinks, I loved making festive ice cubes and they were shockingly super easy! I just used these ice molds and put a few cranberry, small slice of orange, and rosemary and then filled up with water! I served them with champagne poured over and of course, added a bow to the glasses… along with everything else in my house 🎀 Hope you are having the most lovely holiday season!
