Merriment & Wonder

The holiday season is pure magic to me. Since I was little, I have always loved Christmas so much. Since being married, I have loved starting our own traditions and also getting to be apart of both of our families traditions. I like to call myself Mrs. Claus 🧑‍🎄 Some of my favorite things about the season are…first up, picking out our Christmas tree. We typically do this the weekend after Thanksgiving and I have been anticipating it for weeks! I love a short and fat Christmas tree to fill up with special ornaments, new and old. Picking out my Christmas wrapping paper is truly a highlight of the year for me. I love mixing patterns, ribbons, and tags to make it feel so beautiful and thoughtful. Last year it was a mix of Parterre & Dogwood Hill. This year I have my eye on some from The Kensington Paperie. We always have a holiday puzzle going on the coffee table! Another tradition that I love is a holiday dinner I host for some dear friends. Good food, hosting with all the holiday decor, and the best company.

This year, I am getting inspired by bright and shimmery gold, velvet bows on everything, pops of red, and lots of low lighting to compliment all the sparkle.
